What are IOP and PHP, and How Can They Help You?

ADHD Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management

Board-certified psychiatrists on our team conduct thorough ADHD evaluations for children (ages 9+), adolescents, and adults. If medication is indicated, we provide ongoing medication management with regular follow-up appointments. We prescribe and monitor stimulant medications, non-stimulant alternatives (Strattera, Wellbutrin), and address any co-occurring conditions simultaneously.

IOP for ADHD with Co-Occurring Conditions

ADHD frequently co-occurs with depression, anxiety, OCD, and substance use disorders. When ADHD is part of a more complex clinical picture, our IOP provides 9-20 hours per week of structured treatment addressing all conditions simultaneously — not sequentially. This integrated approach produces significantly better outcomes than treating each condition separately.

ADHD Therapy: CBT, DBT & Skills Training

Medication alone rarely produces optimal outcomes for ADHD. Our therapists provide evidence-based behavioral approaches including CBT for ADHD (addressing thought patterns and executive function), DBT skills training (emotion regulation, impulse control, distress tolerance), and practical skills coaching for organization, time management, and academic or workplace performance.

I don't think I will ever be able to adequately articulate what Mind Above Matter (Burleson - Virtual) did for me in a time where I needed something so desperately. At the time, I didn't know what I needed, or how anything could help, but thank the Lord I was directed to MAB. The program literally saved my life and set me back up for success. I 100% feel like I've been able to take back my life with the help from the therapists, psychiatrist, and program that I was apart of in my time at MAB. If you are thinking about starting this program, or referring someone you love to this program, don't hesitate - do it. I promise, you will not regret it.

We had the absolute best experience working with Ally. She was my child’s therapist and made such a positive impact on her life, not just in her progress, but in her confidence and overall happiness. From the very beginning, Ally made our entire family feel included in the process. She took the time to explain everything clearly, welcomed our questions, and always made us feel heard.
Her kindness, patience, and genuine care for her clients truly set her apart. It’s clear she’s passionate about what she does and deeply invested in helping each child succeed. We are so grateful for her support and would recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled therapist.

Graduating from the PHP and IOP program at Mind Over Matter has been a life-changing experience for me. From the very beginning, I felt truly supported and cared for. The therapists here are absolutely incredible — compassionate, skilled, and genuinely invested in helping you grow and heal.

Each session felt meaningful and safe, and the team created an environment where I could open up, work through challenges, and actually see progress. What stood out the most was how much the therapists went above and beyond — they didn’t just “do their job,” they made me feel seen, heard, and understood in a way that’s rare to find.

If you’re looking for a program that provides structure, encouragement, and outstanding therapists who truly care, I can’t recommend Mind Over Matter enough. This place gave me the tools and confidence I needed to move forward, and I’ll always be grateful for my time here.
