Family-Friendly Keller, Texas: Where Healing Meets Community
Keller is where families thrive. With Bear Creek Park stretching across the community, excellent schools, and growing neighborhoods full of young families, this corner of the DFW area represents something special—a place that values growth, connection, and stability. It's this same commitment to wellness and family that drives Mind Above Matter, right here in Keller at 4232 Heritage Trace Parkway.
When mental health challenges or substance use issues strike, they don't just affect one person—they ripple through the whole family. That's why we designed our IOP and PHP programs to support not just you, but your family's healing too. Real mental health treatment looks like restoration, and that starts with understanding what matters most to you.

If you need real professional mental health care but your life doesn't allow for full-day treatment, IOP is designed for you. Ranging from 9-20 hours per week, typically in morning, afternoon, or evening sessions, our IOP program provides serious clinical treatment without derailing your work or school.
In IOP, you're assigned a primary therapist who knows your story deeply. You participate in group therapy sessions with people navigating similar challenges. You access psychiatric services for medication management if needed. You receive crisis support planning and skills training. Everything is coordinated, everything is evidence-based, and everything is designed to create real change in a relatively short timeframe—typically 4-12 weeks.
Keller families appreciate that IOP respects their complexity. You're not just a person with a diagnosis—you're someone managing a job, raising kids, maintaining relationships, dealing with real life. Our IOP program works with that reality, not against it.
PHP is the goldilocks of mental health treatment—not quite full hospitalization, but far more intensive than weekly therapy. At Mind Above Matter in Keller, our PHP program operates 5-6 days per week, 6-8 hours daily, offering comprehensive coordinated care.
Here's what that looks like in practice: You arrive for individual therapy sessions with your assigned therapist. You participate in multiple group therapy sessions where real healing conversations happen. You meet with our psychiatrist for medication management. You receive education and skills training. If appropriate, family therapy sessions help repair and strengthen those crucial relationships. All of this happens in one integrated day, under one roof, with one coordinated treatment team.
PHP works best for people who need significant, immediate relief. Maybe you're coming out of a hospital stay and need structured transition care. Maybe symptoms have escalated to a point where weekly therapy alone isn't cutting it. Maybe you're in acute crisis and need daily professional support. PHP gives you that without requiring you to stay overnight—you go home to your family each evening.
