Texas Group-Focused Outpatient Treatment

What are IOP and PHP, and How Can They Help You?

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program provides 9-20 hours of structured clinical care per week, built around the demands of daily life in Burleson. Individual therapy with a consistent licensed therapist, group therapy with peers working through similar challenges, evidence-based skills training using CBT and DBT, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management — all integrated into one coordinated program. Morning and afternoon scheduling options mean most Burleson residents can continue working, attending school, and managing family responsibilities during IOP. IOP is the right level of care when symptoms significantly impact your life but do not require hospitalization.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides 6-8 hours of intensive daily clinical support, five to six days per week. PHP is the highest level of outpatient care available — appropriate when symptoms require daily intensive treatment but inpatient hospitalization is not necessary. For Burleson residents, PHP is typically the right step when symptoms are acute, when stepping down from an inpatient stay, or when IOP has not been sufficient. You receive individual therapy, multiple group sessions, and psychiatric care each day, then return home in the evenings. Most participants step down to IOP level care after 2-4 weeks as symptoms stabilize.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

We specialize in co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our clinicians in Southwest Fort Worth and Johnson County are trained to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.

I don't think I will ever be able to adequately articulate what Mind Above Matter (Burleson - Virtual) did for me in a time where I needed something so desperately. At the time, I didn't know what I needed, or how anything could help, but thank the Lord I was directed to MAB. The program literally saved my life and set me back up for success. I 100% feel like I've been able to take back my life with the help from the therapists, psychiatrist, and program that I was apart of in my time at MAB. If you are thinking about starting this program, or referring someone you love to this program, don't hesitate - do it. I promise, you will not regret it.

We had the absolute best experience working with Ally. She was my child’s therapist and made such a positive impact on her life, not just in her progress, but in her confidence and overall happiness. From the very beginning, Ally made our entire family feel included in the process. She took the time to explain everything clearly, welcomed our questions, and always made us feel heard.
Her kindness, patience, and genuine care for her clients truly set her apart. It’s clear she’s passionate about what she does and deeply invested in helping each child succeed. We are so grateful for her support and would recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled therapist.

Graduating from the PHP and IOP program at Mind Over Matter has been a life-changing experience for me. From the very beginning, I felt truly supported and cared for. The therapists here are absolutely incredible — compassionate, skilled, and genuinely invested in helping you grow and heal.

Each session felt meaningful and safe, and the team created an environment where I could open up, work through challenges, and actually see progress. What stood out the most was how much the therapists went above and beyond — they didn’t just “do their job,” they made me feel seen, heard, and understood in a way that’s rare to find.

If you’re looking for a program that provides structure, encouragement, and outstanding therapists who truly care, I can’t recommend Mind Over Matter enough. This place gave me the tools and confidence I needed to move forward, and I’ll always be grateful for my time here.
